Slowly Becoming Vegan
Becoming vegan has been on my "to-do" list for awhile now. I've given up milk and dairy, all red meats, but there's something about fish that I just can't shake. I was hoping that maybe some of your seasoned vegan visitors could give me some tips on transitioning. My intentions are there, I just can't get my mouth to get on board with the program. How did you go about becoming vegan? Maybe I'll find a glimpse of hope in your stories.
I know it's what I want to do. I know why I need to do it. I just keep making excuses as to why it's not convenient right now. I'm 16 and the baby of a carnivorous family. My dad is a butcher. How's my becoming vegan supposed to go over with him? That's his bread and butter. I don't want to offend him in anyway. I feel trapped. I know what I want to be, but I feel like I have to be someone other than that to keep my family happy. Hope someone can offer some insight. Thanks in advance.
