High Cholesterol Led Me Here

I decided to go vegan to save my life! I was diabetic, had high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. My daughter decided to "cure" my diabetes with raw food. I embarked on a 30-day Raw Food Challenge, and what a challenge it was. The results, however, were AMAZING! I knew I couldn't immediately commit to the raw vegan lifestyle, so I initially decided being vegetarian would do. Unfortunately, my body was not so impressed with the vegetarian approach.

Then I kept seeing "signs" (I'm a strong believer in those). I finally saw that picture that says Veg(etari)an...cut out the crap and go vegan. LOL That pushed me over the edge, and I haven't looked back since. Being vegetarian was not a fit for me. I felt like a half-ass vegan (if that makes sense lol); there was no reason why I couldn't go all the way.

I'm glad to say my decision to go vegan has led to drastic changes in my overall health. My blood sugar is stabilized; I no longer take medication (Thank God, because it's so expensive). I just feel like I'm really living now. Oh, I hope that I haven't offended any vegetarians. It just wasn't for me, that's all. Everything is not for everybody, you know. I applaud anyone who tries to combat that crappy S.A.D.
